Who we are

Therapist Registration

If you register with Lingo Network, we collect information you provide directly, including your name, email, professional credential, county, practice setting, years of experience, and how you heard about us.

Your individual profile information is never sold. We use aggregated, anonymized data to better understand Indiana’s mental health workforce — for example, where therapists practice or what settings look like — never to monitor or evaluate you individually.

If we ever build features that make your information visible to employers (such as job matching), that will always be a separate, explicit choice you opt into — it will never happen automatically or by default.

You can request to view, update, or delete your registration information at any time by contacting us.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be shared with the Gravatar service to check whether you’re using it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once a comment is approved, your profile picture is visible publicly alongside it.

Media

If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract location data from images on the site.

Cookies

If you comment on the site, you may opt to save your name, email, and website in a cookie for convenience on future comments. These last one year.

Visiting our login page sets a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies; it contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Logging in sets additional cookies to remember your login and display preferences. Login cookies last two days (two weeks if you select “Remember Me”); screen-option cookies last a year. Logging out removes your login cookies.

Editing or publishing an article sets one more cookie containing only the post ID, which expires after a day.

Embedded content from other websites

Pages on this site may include embedded content (videos, images, articles) from other websites, which behaves exactly as if you’d visited that site directly — including its own data collection, cookies, and tracking.

How long we retain your data

Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-up comments can be recognized and approved automatically. Registered therapist information is kept while your account is active; you can request deletion at any time.

What rights you have over your data

You can request an exported copy of the personal data we hold about you, or request that we delete it. This doesn’t include data we’re required to retain for legal, security, or administrative reasons.
